Internet Explorer is also arcane and is also experiencing technical difficulties this week. There's a bug in internet explorer that allows an infected email to take control of your computer and allow an outsider to gain access to your computer. Really the only way to avoid this is to realize that it's not 1998 and that there are some excellent web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera come to mind) and that you can switch to them.
It's not all bad tech news this week. Apple Updated their MacBook Air Product line with some minor upgrades. They upgraded the base cpu from a 1.3 ghz dual core i5 to a 1.4 ghz dual core i5 (oh my, huge changes!). All jokes aside, this is not really the interesting part of this cpu change. Intel may have done more power optimizing and battery life could be even better than before. This is speculation of course until a review company like cnet gets a chance to do a battery life test on it. Also Apple dropped the price of each MacBook Air model by $100 so you can now get an 11 inch one for $899 and a 13 inch one for $999.
These are just some interesting stories that stood out to me. I first heard about these stories on cnet as well as just looking at apples website.
